Between March 2008 and May 2009 I watched this section of Canacadea Creek near Almond, NY, making more than forty panoramic observations over the course of the seasons and various weather conditions. Because I could not predict the future, I did not know what would happen. Over the course of the year a logjam was cut up, a dirt road was cut next to the stream, and several floods washed the road out in the process of diverting the stream's course.
